Hilton Head Island, SC

We have been blessed with the ability to visit Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, over these past few years.   It is now a place we like to regularly visit.

We have found it a great place to spend family time together.  We’ve experienced bike rides on trails and the beaches, wildlife, swimming, and fun in the water.  This year’s trip provided some of the most gloriously vivid sunrises we’ve ever seen.

I created this page several years ago, and updated it with photos through our 2013 visit.

Our 2016 visit had so much to share that it expanded into several pages, which are accessible at:

Last bit of advice... the Toll Bridge... drive it, it’s worth it!

If you’re trying to get toward the SE corner of the island, the toll bridge is worth the couple-dollar fee; turning a 30+ minute (granted, it’s a nice drive) into 5-7 minutes.

Savannah’s a great visit, too... ~ 45 minute drive for historic fun.

Any visit needs a stop at The Pirate House, with great seafood... and it’s where Robert Louis Stevenson wrote “Treasure Island.”
