La Jolla / San Diego

I was fortunate enough to have been

staffed on a project in San Diego, flying

to/from each week in 1999 & 2000.
While there, I proposed to Ann Marie in

Palm Springs.  We were able to spend

several weekends in/around San Diego

during our engagement and after.

We try to visit before/after Palm Desert,

and do sometimes visit Orange County.

While all are pretty, and best of all, while we have had great,

valuable fun in all locations, La Jolla is special for us because

of the time we spent together there.

Since the kids have been born, we have

also come to discover other sights in/

around La Jolla, like the Birch Aquarium

at the Scripps Ocean Institute. where

we have seen just-born tiger sharks,

keyhole limpets, and many other

creatures from the deep.  It’s definitely

a great place to visit.

Also in San Diego, to the north of the

County, almost to Camp Pendleton,

is Carlsbad, home of LegoLand.  We have now visited twice

and are quite impressed by the rides, and the creativity that comes

from seeing all the Legos others have build in/around the park.

We recommend a visit.
