Outdoor Photographer

A great magazine

(updated Sat. Jan. 24, 2015)

I travelled much for work over the years.  In 1999-2000, I was blessed to work for Gateway Computers.  The work started in N. Sioux City, SD in late 1998.   I was able to move to the new project at their new corporate headquarters in La Jolla, CA - a very nice San Diego suburb.

I flew there Monday mornings and flew home Friday afternoons.  Every 4-6 weeks Ann Marie would fly out.  Before 9/11, we could still walk departing passengers to their gates.  Between her boarding and the plane pushing back, I would usually visit the airport book/magazine shop.

There I discovered Outdoor Photographer magazine.

I recommend its paper format, suspect the digital version is equally impressive, and also recommend their website.  The articles contain amazing images and the columnists provide practical guidance.

This page shares a sample of some of of their more insightful writings.
