Photos:

The drive from Devils Tower to Cody, WY is about 425 miles.

Wyoming is one the US’s leading producers of natural resources, coal, natural gas, and much more.  This is just one of a few coal mines we saw along I-80.

Stopping at the scenic lookout.

This was the first many times we saw snow, in late June, on this trip.

We learned that many of Wyoming’s mountains remain snow-capped year-round.

these are “Photos by Abby”... awesome!

Driving through Tensleep Canyon, which has been carved by Tensleep Creek

Emblem, WY

Population 19...

and you’re out of town before your brain registers that you just passed a town with 19 people and far more cattle than that just at the fence near the road at the farm you just passed... awesome.

Driving into Cody

Cody, WY is named for Buffalo Bill Cody, who did live part of his youth in St. Louis.

This is the view from our room at the Best Western Premier Ivy Inn & Suites, where they have scented towels to wipe your face off when you arrive (a bit hit for all four of us... no, we didn’t need them... just a nice thing to receive):

Mom and Dad left Matt and Abby to play some games and catch up on videos in the hotel room and had a “date walk” in downtown Cody.  One boot store had these amazing boots dedicated to Our Lady of Guadeloupe.  Beautiful!

Abby and Dad captured some photos of the sunset... the clouds were lit above and glowing below... something we figured we would have seen before, but haven't

... and some photos of flowers in a flower pot on the street corner - nice macros by  Abby

Abby and Dad also saw these funny t-shirts:

Note:  we captured all other photos using ProCamera, by Cocologics.
